Cloud is the big thing today and most big companies offer their own solution (Amazon with AWS, Google with App Engine, Rackpace…). Microsoft started its own cloud solution in 2010 and has since been trying to integrate as many products as possible; one being the recent Visual Studio Online, creating a whole new workflow (from project management and code hosting to deployement) available online.
