Sabermetrics is a field of statistics and forecasting that baseball enthusiasts and statisticians passionately pursue. Looking beyond traditional baseball metrics, sabermetricians have changed the landscape of baseball by drawing attention to stats that were traditionally not valued as highly as other stats. They’ve also created numerous new statistics that provide a new insight into player performance.
